Can Santa see my child and their drawing?

Short answer

Yes. Switch the camera on and Santa sees a photo every 20 seconds. He can recognise a drawing, a costume or the tree. Photos are never stored.

The details

The camera is off by default. You switch it on in the call settings and confirm a short consent text.

With the camera on, your browser sends a photo of about 640 by 480 pixels to Santa every 20 seconds. That is enough to recognise a drawing held up to the camera.

Santa only talks about what he can actually see. He is instructed not to guess. If the picture is dark or blurry, he asks to hold it closer.

The photos exist only during the call. We do not store them, and you can switch the camera off at any moment.

The video of Santa himself is always on. Your child sees him; he 'sees' your child only through those photos.
